I was brought up to have faith.
Baptized and taught in all their ways,
A saint for this, a saint for that.
A Saint you'll pray, who goes to bat
On your behalf, to intercede
A saint to step up while you bleed.
I'd pour my heart upon the cross
Hallowed be his name,
The young, the old, the poor, the rich..
Religion"s just their game.
So I turned my eyes upon the past
To my ancestors, my name,
Converged my future with my past...
To practicing their ways.
No warts have grown upon my nose
Nor am I wicked dear,
Now all my saints have names of gods
Without the guilt or fear.
I do not pray they'll intercede
I pray to find my way,
To find the strength within myself
As I walk my path today.
Be you Pagan, Druid or Witch
Refuse to step aside.
It's time for all to notice us,
So walk your path with pride.
